This is the middle world, samsara, the material plane, Earth; where we live, suffer and die. No one knows the pain of another. No one experiences this the same. For every good there is evil; for every light there is dark. We struggle like a weed through concrete--fighting for an ounce of air, to turn our faces to the light of the moon. Some live for decades, beyond the century mark; some die before leaving the comfort of the womb. No one knows their fate. The universe reaches itself into each living thing in an attempt to experience itself. Every joy, desire, loss, and sorrow is the universe. Every birth, death, shadow is the universe. Some deny it, fight it with all of their strength. Some embrace it and allow the spirit to put its feet into the sea. At most, we hope to escape serious damage. At the least we hope to not go mad before the void. Those who form ideas of the universe into shapes, colors, sounds, dance, humor, healing, or meditation; those the universe possesses with the ability to create likenesses of the void, can only watch helpless as the other forms of the universe stare blankly at the work. Remember. Remember what you were before your birth. Remember. Look at the living thing next to you and know it too is you--a small piece of the Whole staring back at itself. Forgive it for forgetting. Forgive yourself for knowing.
